How long will it take before I see results of your treatments?

Depending on what plants are being managed, generally you will see results in a few days.

Is it necessary to have a season long program?
As the season progresses, vegetation will continue to grow. The majority of the time, one application will not completely control vegetation- especially algae.

Why do I need a professional?
Most applications require the applicator to be licensed by the State of Illinois and State of Indiana. All of our technicians are licensed by the Department of Agriculture.

Will aeration completely solve my algae problem?
No. Aeration is an integrated pest management approach that will improve water quality and help reduce nuisance algae growth. For best results, combine with our pond and lake management services.

How do your services impact wildlife?
All materials we use are registered for the use in waterways by the Environmental Protection Agency and when used by our professional applicators, pose no adverse effect on fish or wildlife.

Should I leave some vegetation?
Yes. Native beneficial aquatic plants provide fish habitat, promote water quality and help control shoreline erosion.

Is there anything I can do as a homeowner to help promote the health of the pond?
Definitely! A few suggestions are:
Reduce or eliminate your use of lawn fertilizers.
Promote a healthy buffer strip of native plants around the shoreline.
Keep grass clippings and other yard debris out of pond.
